Science and the Left

I was going to write a detailed blog about a short piece from The Corner on science, but I see that Dr. Pat Santy has beaten me to the punch. She’s spot on, as usual.

As a scientist and a member of the so-called “religious right,” I encounter the dogmatism of the Left daily. Woe be to anyone who questions the Magisterium on global warming (sorry, “anthropogenic climate change”–which covers their bases a little better), the wonders of embryonic stem cell research, or the supremacy of diversity. In all but methods of enforcement, it’s scarcely different from the Spanish Inquisition (at least the myth of it, anyway).
