Prayers needed

Some old friends of mine in Texas (the proprietor of Catholic Bear and his wife) have just taken in four foster children, from teenage to just starting school. They could use all the prayers they can get.

UPDATE: They no longer have the kids, who are in other foster care. Please be praying for the children in a horribly difficult situation.

That’s a tough case. My wife and I had a foster child for awhile. We still light a candle and say a prayer for our foster child after every mass and think about her often. I would have thought I’d be numb to the pain by now, but it still hurts.

We’ll definitely be praying for your friends. Hopefully, they’ll find a good match (and have supportive social workers).

    Doug
