Hope Remains

It’s so easy to get down about the state of the Church, with liberal pastors preaching, if not heresy, nothing with any substance, and liturgical abuses all over the place. But, there is hope. There’s lots of hope. Here in eastern NC, our bishop has attended a Tridentine Mass, and it’s starting to become a running joke that he turns every conversation into a push for vocations.

Check out these recent events from our diocese:

And next month, the yearly “Ignited By Truth” conference (highlighted this year by Peter Kreeft and Mark Shea) is being supported by our diocese to an unprecedented degree, with the bishop celebrating the closing Mass.

After 40 (plus) years in the wilderness, things are turning around, despite appearances to the contrary.

Awesome. A bishop who actually encourages Tridentine mass attendence/acceptance by his actions. In my limited experience, that’s rare.
